Frequently Asked Questions

Most of the answers to your questions can be found in our FAQs. If you are unable to find answers to your questions or have specific questions about your procedure, please feel free to contact us directly.

Q: Where do I park when visiting Mink Radiology?

A: We offer validated parking at all three of our locations. In Beverly Hills, parking is available beneath the building; please enter from Willaman Drive. In Marina Del Rey, parking is available in front of the building; access to the parking lot is available from Mindanao Way or Glencoe Avenue. In our Los Angeles location, parking is available in the building with entrance from 3rd Street.

Q: Do you validate parking?

A: Yes, we offer validated parking for all of our facilities.

Q: How do I prepare for my examination?

A: Each examination may have different requirements. The staff member scheduling your appointment will provide you with all the necessary information needed to prepare for your examination.

Q: How much time is needed for my examination?

A: Mink Radiology is committed to examining each patient at their appointed time. We ask patients to arrive 15 minutes prior to their appointment to complete the necessary paperwork. The staff member scheduling your examination will include a 15 minute check-in time to your appointment time. In most instances, we are able to complete your examination within 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Q: What do I wear?

A: Wear comfortable clothing as you will most likely be lying down for some or all of your examination.

Q: Do you provide any type of sedation?

A: We offer Ativan, a very mild oral sedative. If given a sedative, we require a driver to accompany the patient. General sedation via anesthesia is offered only on Saturdays; we require a patient History and Physical (current within last 3 months) and the anesthesiologist must clear the patient of the following: BMI>35, history of sleep apnea, history of anesthesia complications, and/or potential airway complications.

Q: Who interprets my examination?

A: One of our board-certified radiologists will read your examination. In the case of an epidural injection, new patients will be seen by the doctor in charge of epidural examinations for the day. We make every effort for returning patients to be seen by the same doctor from their previous visit.

Q: How long before my doctor receives the results?

A: Typically, results are relayed to your doctor within 24 hours. For urgent cases, phone reports are made between physicians, often while the patient is still at our facility.

Q: Why can’t I be given the results immediately?

A: Your referring physician is best suited to discuss the significance of the findings from your examination with you because they should have access to any prior imaging studies, physical examinations, blood work, etc. that might be relevant to their diagnosis.

Q: Can I get a copy of my report?

A: You can request a copy of your report and/or your images after your referring physician has discussed our results with you.

Q: Who can I speak with about my bill?

A: If you have any billing inquiries, please contact the following location:
